I have been involved in MRI research since about 1993 (it has been a long time).  My primary research started out with quantitative $latex T_2$ measurements and faster ways of acquiring the necessary data.  Since then I have been more involved in diffusion measurements though my primary focus has been on chemical exchange saturation transfer imaging more recently.
